Meet Menopause Coach Catherine Folan

Conversation | Education | Connection

I’m Catherine Folan, a CPD-accredited menopause coach and an affiliate member of the British Menopause Society.

I combine my professional background with a deep, heart-led understanding of what this time of life actually feels like.

Women come to me for support in understanding what is happening for them and how they can improve their experience. Organisations turn to me to improve their support of women in their workplace and ensure they meet UK legislative requirements.

My approach is kind, empathetic and effective. If you need help in navigating menopause, get in touch to discuss how we can work together.

Menopause Symptoms

Are you having a bad day - or is it something more? As a menopause coach I can help.
Menopause can present in a wealth of ways. Here’s some of the most common signals:

  • Low mood

  • Changing metabolism

  • Sleeplessness

  • Brain-fog and memory loss

  • Exhaustion

  • Aching joints

  • Hot flushes

  • Anxiety

  • Mood Swings

  • Low libido

Any of these symptoms could be due to hormone change. I work with women to explain what is happening and support them in taking action to feel better. Contact me for a chat.

About Me - Why I formed Pause With Purpose

For twenty-five years, I worked in the fast-paced world of communications across London, helping businesses and teams find their voice. My career was built on navigating change and leading through pressure, and as an employee engagement expert, it was built on understanding people.

When I reached my own menopause transition, I noticed a significant gap in the support available to us. Like so many women, I found myself caught between two extremes: an overwhelming sea of conflicting internet advice or a rushed, ten-minute appointment with a doctor. Neither offered the space, the time or the specialised guidance needed to manage such a major life change.

I founded Pause || With Purpose to be that middle ground, and am now a menopause coach and consultant.

How I Work

I believe that menopause shouldn’t be a hurdle to clear or something to simply ‘get through’. It is an opportunity to pause and to recalibrate. As a menopause coach and consultant I help others understand this life phase and provide tested tools and techniques.

For Women

I provide calm, dedicated spaces to focus on the change you are going through. This can be together one-to-one or as a group experience. Together, we move past the confusion, discuss your unique circumstances and build practical, personal roadmaps so you can feel like yourself again; confident, clear-headed and ready for what’s next.

For Workplaces

I use my decades of change communication experience to support menopause in the workplace, raising awareness and increasing understanding. I partner you to assess your current situation and agree what ‘great’ looks like for your organisation. I provide individual and group coaching for women and produce educational webinars, training and communication campaigns.
